Who we are:
We are a family oriented club and provide events for all age ranges.
Children and beginners of any age can learn to sail at the Friday Social Sailing Sessions, the Saturday Argonaut Sessions or the Saturday Social Sailing Sessions. These are all run during the summer months with skilled instructors and full safety provision.
Young children have a chance to learn in Optimists (truly unsinkable and almost impossible to capsize) or, for those a little larger, Toppers, both of which provide an excellent introduction to sailing in a safe and reassuring environment.
Pleasure sailors and cruisers can sail at any time on the Blue Lagoon and meet up with other families for BBQ's and sunny days by the water.
Racers can learn to race or just get better at our regular series races on Sunday mornings. Outside competition is provided by our series of Open Meetings where other clubs send their best along to show us how it is done (or be shown).
The whole family can take part in our wide range of social events held throughout the year - BBQ's, Barn Dances, Fun Days - there's something for all the family at NHEBSC.
Sailing is inexpensive (ask one of our members to give you details) and fun for all the family.
Get fit and frantic or just relax on the water in the nicest piece of water in the North Herts. / East Beds. area. The choice is yours - we can only provide the water and the opportunities!
